Abdullah bin Hussein Al-Sheikh was born in the Eastern Province, Al-Ahsa Oasis, in 1406 AH. Like many photographers, he began bycapturing the beauty and features of nature, which formed a significant space for expressing his passion for photography.
Al-Sheikh’s works have been published in international magazines, including National Geographic in 2018, where a photograph of Al-Ahsa was chosen for the cover. Additionally, his photo of Al-Ahsa Oasis won first place in the “Palm in the Eyes of the World” competition in 2021.
Al-Sheikh also contributed his photos to the application file for Al-Ahsa Oasis’s inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage list, with his photos being recognized as global classifications by UNESCO.
He has participated in global exhibitions and conferences, including giving a lecture on aerial photography at the Xposure Sharjah Conference in 2022. A National Geographic-sponsored exhibition was held in Abu Dhabi in 2021, and he received special recognition from His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for promoting photography and his interest in spreading the culture and heritage of the image.
He also won the Kingdom Photography Award in 2024, in addition to winning first place in the Sheikh Khalifa International Palm Award in the Eyes of the World 2024, in the United Arab Emirates.
